อะไรคือสิ่งที่เลวร้ายที่สุดที่สามารถเกิดขึ้นในชีวิตเราครับ

สุดท้ายแล้วสิ่งที่ทำให้เรามีความสุขจริงๆคืออะไร

ผมขอตอบว่า “ครอบครัว” ครับ 

เพราะต่อให้เรามีเงินมหาศาล มีร่างกายแข็งแรงสมบูรณ์ มีบ้าน ที่ดิน ฯลฯ แต่มันไม่มีค่าอะไรครับ ถ้าไม่มีคนที่เรารักมาร่วมแบ่งปันสิ่งต่างๆที่เรามี

ซึ่งครอบครัวที่สมบูรณ์ควรจะประกอบไปด้วย พ่อ แม่ และลูก  

(ขอตอบคำถามจากบรรทัดบนสุดของเอ็นทรี่นี้เลยแล้วกัน) 

“สิ่งที่เลวร้ายที่สุดที่สามารถเกิดขึ้นในชีวิตเราคือการที่ ‘พ่อหรือแม่’ ต้องมาจัดการงานศพ ‘ลูก’ ของตัวเอง”

ไม่มีใครอยากไปงานศพลูกของตัวเองหรือคนในครอบครัวหรอกครับ มันโหดร้ายเกินไป โดยเฉพาะการเสียชีวิตที่เกิดจาก “หัวขาด” “ตาทะลัก” “ปอดระเบิด” “ขาหลุด” “ลำไส้ไหลออกมาข้างนอก” “เลือดออกจนขาดใจตาย” และอื่นๆอีกมากมายที่เกิดจากสภาวะไม่สงบสุข

ด้วย “ความตั้งใจดีและมุ่งมั่น” ของพี่พลอยจ๋า (http://bannpeeploy.exteen.com/)  ผู้นำโครงการ

“ไทยช่วยสันติสุข ครั้งที่ 2” 

 มาสู่ exteen  โดยจะนำเงินบริจาคสมทบทุนจัดซื้ออุปกรณ์ช่วยรบ ( รถจักรยานยนต์ เสื้อเกราะ เวชภัณฑ์ วิทยุสื่อสาร ฯลฯ ) มอบให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ทหารและตำรวจที่ปฎิบัติภารกิจในพื้นที่ 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้  ซึ่งจะก่อให้เกิดโอกาสมากมาย :

- โอกาสที่ช่วยให้ลูกชายของคนบางคน ได้กลับไปกราบเท้าแม่ที่บ้าน

-โอกาสที่ช่วยให้พ่อคนนึงได้กลับบ้านไปเป่าเค้กวันเกิดของลูก

-โอกาสที่ช่วยให้สามีคนนึงได้กลับไปนอนกอดภรรยาอย่างอบอุ่น

-โอกาสที่ทำให้ทหารและตำรวจได้อยู่อาศัยในประเทศอันสงบสุข ที่ๆพวกเขาได้เอาหยาดเหงื่อ เลือดและชีวิตของตนเป็นเดิมพัน

-โอกาสที่ทำให้เขาได้มีชีวิตอยู่จนเห็นวันที่ประเทศไทยสงบสุข (ซึ่งผมว่ามันมีแน่นอน)

ทั้งนี้เพื่อการสะดวกในการรวบรวมยอดบริจาคของชาว exteen ใจบุญทั้งหลาย พี่พลอยจ๋าได้รับสมัครหัวหน้าสายกรรมการรับเงินบริจาค  โดยมีเพื่อนบ้านของผมร่วมด้วยช่วยกันอาสาเป็นหัวหน้าสายด้วยหลายคนทั้ง พี่ตุ้มเป๊ะ แพนด้าจากญี่ปุ่น นู่เป๋อเด็กจิตตก ฯลฯ

อย่างไรก็ดี ผมไม่ใช่หัวหน้าสายครับ หัวหน้าสายของผมคือ “หมอเชน”

ผมทราบมาว่าหมอเชนได้ดำเนินการโทรเช็คหน่วยงานราชการเอง ตรวจสอบข้อมูลและเอกสารทางราชการที่ได้รับมาเองทั้งหมดอีกรอบ ทั้งนี้เพื่อความสบายใจของผู้บริจาค ทั้งๆที่หมอเชนอยู่ต่างประเทศครับ ทั้งนี้ยังได้พยายามทุกวิถีทางที่จะรวบรวมเงินให้โดยสะดวก เพื่อที่จะนำยอดเงินไป “ระบุ” ว่าเงินที่ได้นำไปใช้จ่ายแลก “เสื้อเกราะ” หรือ สิ่งของจำเป็นอย่างอื่นอย่างไร

(โดยสายหมอเชนต้องการจะซื้อเสื้อเกราะ ตัวละ 5 พันบาท)

สุดท้ายนี้ขอฝากไว้ว่า

ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างบนโลกนี้ไม่มีอะไรได้มาฟรีๆครับ การที่เราได้หยุดงานวันเสาร์หรืออาทิตย์ แล้วกระตือรือล้นที่จะควงแฟนไปดูหนัง ไปช้อปปิ้ง พาลูก พาหลานไปเที่ยว พาพ่อแม่ออกไปทานข้าวที่ร้านหรูๆอย่างมีความสุขได้นั้น นั่นเป็นเพราะว่ามีคนที่เป็นรั้วของชาตเสียสละโอกาสเหล่านั้น โดยการเอาชีวิตตนเองไปเสี่ยง ยืนเป็นเป้านิ่ง ให้กลุ่มผู้ก่อการร้าย กลุ่มแบ่งแยกดินแดน  เพื่อแลกชีวิตของพวกเค้ากับความสงบสุขของพวกเรา 

บางคนอาจบอกว่า “การเมืองกูไม่ยุ่ง กูไม่เกี่ยว เลือกตั้งกูยังไม่ไปเล๊ย  ใครจะรบ ใครจะประท้วง ใครเป็นนายก ใครจะตายมันไปเกี่ยวอะไรกับกู กูอยู่ของกูเฉยๆแบบนี้ ไม่เบียดเบียนใคร กูอยู่ของกูดีอยู่แล้ว อย่ามายุ่ง” 

ผมว่าคนพวกนี้ควรรีบๆไปตายซะ หรือไม่ก็ส่งมันไปอยู่ที่ Darfur ให้รู้แล้วรู้รอด  ให้มันรู้ว่า ความสงบสุขมันเป็นยังไง มันประเสริฐแค่ไหน ถ้าประเทศไม่สงบสุขแล้วเป็นยังไง แล้วเราควรดีใจแค่ไหนที่เราไม่ต้องไปยืนถือปืน แล้วรอคนที่ตั้งใจจะมาฆ่าเราอยู่ทุกวัน ทุกชั่วโมง ทุกนาที 

ตราบใดที่คนเรา กิน ขี้ ปี้ นอน ในประเทศไทย นั่นคือเราเป็นส่วนนึงของประเทศแล้วครับ คนที่คิดว่าเค้าไม่เกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์หรือกับทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างที่เกิดขึ้นในประเทศ คนพวกนั้นเป็นคนโคตรเห็นแก่ตัวครับ คือเค้าจะคิดแต่ว่าทุกอย่างที่เค้ามีเค้าได้เป็นของเค้าคนเดียว และได้มาจากตัวเค้าโดยลำพัง

ดังนั้นเรามาช่วยเสียสละเงินที่จะนำไปใช้จ่ายเช่น ดินเนอร์หรูๆกับแฟนสักมื้อ หรือ ของเล่นของลูกรักสักชิ้น หรือ ของขวัญวันเกิดตัวเองสักหนึ่งปี แล้วนำไปบริจาคซื้อเสื้อเกราะ เพื่อเอามอบให้กับทหารและตำรวจใน 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้แทน กันเถอะครับ เพื่อพวกเค้าจะได้มี “โอกาส” ได้กลับมาใช้ชีวิตอย่างสงบสุขแบบที่พวกเราได้มี ได้ใช้ ได้เสพสุข กันมานานแสนนานแล้วล่ะครับ

Dear all readers,

it was the 21st century’s day of infamy. It was the time that will live in the annals of courage and patriotism. For so many lives of Thai soldiers, police officers,  citizens, monks, farmers, teachers, students and many more, has been taken by the terrorist at the Southern area of Thailand. 

Since years back, Thai soldiers have witnessed the brutality onboard and somehow summoned the strength to take action.  It wasn’t his job to be safe. United they stood, and likely saved our country from an even darker day of perhaps even more unthinkable horror. Millions of us everywhere of all ages, races, creeds, have asked ourselves “What are we to do?”

Today we honor for those who lost their lives  and those who survived the fire and the fate that rained down upon them and heroes at southern area of Thailand who in life and death wear an indelible badge of honor.  We celebrate not only them, but all our fellow Thais. For the intended victims of the chaos in South of Thailand were not just soldiers and police officers at the area. In fact, they were everywhere else. The targets were not just the ‘symbols’ of Thailand but they were the ‘spirit’ of Thailand and the intended victims were 60 millions of us.

In their heroic undying spirit of soldiers and police, we all feel the need to do something, however small, symbolic  to honor these remarkable heroes among us those who have fallen and those still standing, united. So now, we come up with the “Thai Chuay Santisook Campaign” (Thai Helps Peace)  to raise fund for needed equipment like bullet-proof vests, motorbike, medicines, and such.

Many of us here in EXTEEN COMMUNITY (http://www.exteen.com) are not heroes. We are not healers, nor protectors of this great nation. We are merely artists and entertainers here to raise spirit, and we hope a great deal of money. We are here to honor the real heroes and to do whatever we can to ensure that they are supported by our larger Thai family.

This is a moment to pause and reflect to heal and to rededicate ourselves to the Thai spirit of one nation indivisible. By contributing now, you honor the spirit of Thailand that has brought so many cultures and reaffirm our nation’s commitment. 

Let’s honor the persons who tried to save our lives, while we tried to save their souls.

I truly believe that heroes come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and religions. It was hate, not religion that motivate the horrible holocaust at the South of Thailand. And in the wake of these events nothing could be more un-thai than to respond to mindless hatred with blind vengeance . And that we are strongest when we stand together. 

The terrorists foresaw a nation fearful, doubtful ready to retreat. But they were wrong. We’ll stand and we will not yield.  The terrorists who wanted 60 million victims instead are going to get 60 million heroes. 60 million Thais with broken hearts but unbreakable hopes for our country and our future.

For me, risking your life for a total stranger in need is not only ‘courageous’, but ‘divine’ because in the face of that kind of selflessness we can no longer call each other strangers. That’s brotherhood. That’s Thai.

It’s been said that courage is no freedom from fear. It’s being afraid and still going on the courage to look at fear in the face, to overcome it. Thai soldiers and police were the living embodiment of that statement. It’s courageous and undaunted, police and soldiers, its everyday heroes and it’s mighty unstoppable heart. 

Now its up to all of us.  Life’s so precious. Please, please let’s love one another. Live each day, reach out to each other. Be kind to each other. Peace be with you.

We bury their hands but not their good works.

We bury their heart but not their love.
